Best Electric Toothbrush Guide

My two picks 09/22/2009

So far, my two favorite picks are the Philips Sonicare FlexCare with Sanitize and the Oral-B Triumph 9900 with Smart Guide. They both had excellent reviews (over 4.5 stars) and on sale, both run for a little bit over 100$. I am still undecided on which is the best electric toothbrush. They both come with a timer. The first one, the Philips Flexcare include a sanitizer for you toothbrush which I think is a great idea. The second one, the Oral-B Triumph comes with a LCD screen which tells you where to brush, when to change side, and when to change toothbrush head, which I think is pretty cool.

So I have been looking at several electric toothbrush, and have been  comparing reviews. It is quite difficult since I know nothing about electric toothbrushes and their lingo is not making it easy. So here I am, reading electric toothbrush ratings and reviews.  It sounds that for only 20 bucks, I can find a basic and working electric toothbrush and if I like the super tech ones, I will need to spend close to 200$...
I guess it's like losing for a hotel, when you are used to the 5 stars, you become picky with everything, but if all you know is the motel on the corner, everything will seems better!... hmmm! I'm tempted to treat myself with a 5 stars!

A few weeks ago, I went to the dentist for the first time in about 4 years. Yeah, I've been very lazy about maintaining my oral hygiene, and it really was apparent in my checkup. I had so many cavities, I ended up going back 3 more times in the next 2 weeks to have them all drilled, and my teeth cleaned.

I guess up until then, I thought that flossing and brushing my teeth was enough to keep my gums clean, but I was wrong. My dentist advised me that I should throw out old toothbrush and get the best electric toothbrush I could find, because they're a lot more effective at cleaning your teeth.

I guess it's for people like you and me, who want to take good care of their teeth and gums but sometimes we can be a bit clueless about it. I know I've been very lax in my daily teeth cleaning regime, so this is an effort to turn it all around and help other people in the process.

I'll be checking out reviews, looking for the best electric toothbrush in different categories. Obviously, the best electric toothbrush for my needs is different than other people, so I'll be looking for the best electric toothbrush for price, budget, overall quality, and anything in-between.
